Why Moveshelf - 3. Lab managers

We're building Moveshelf, the first all-in-one application for clinical movement labs. Why is that needed now? And for whom? We're posting a series of blog posts answering that question. In this third part, we're taking a look at how lab managers themselves benefit from having Moveshelf in the movement lab.

Increase the visibility of your movement lab

With a fully integrated workflow, embedded in the hospital’s electronic health record, it becomes much easier for physicians of all departments to request and interpret clinical gait analyses when using Moveshelf. Accessing clinical movement data in your multidisciplinary meeting or while working remotely is easy. Simply click a link from your electronic health record, and it opens in a web browser.

Work with data from all sources

Each type of measurement requires a different technology (e.g. optical motion capture or inertial sensors), so patient data often becomes scattered over multiple places. We closely collaborate with all manufacturers of motion measurement hardware to make sure that data from all hardware technology imports seamlessly. This video has a little peek on how it works:

Provide better reports in less time

More efficient data processing pipelines will allow you to perform more movement analyses and create better reports in less time. The reports you create with Moveshelf have everything you need to analyse patients:

  • Synchronized video, kinematics, kinetics, and EMG
  • Left-right and pre-post comparisons
  • Comparisons to your reference data
  • PDF exports for printing or archiving

In the rest of the series, we'll be taking on the perspective of more stakeholders around the movement lab: IT managers, data protection officers and researchers.
